If you find yourself wandering the beautiful landscapes of Mae Hong Son, a stop at Leewine Coffee is an absolute must. Nestled in the heart of the enchanting mountains, this charming café is more than just a place to get your caffeine fix—it's a gateway to some of the most breathtaking views in the region.

Leewine Coffee isn't just a café; it's an experience. The moment you step in, you are greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee paired with the delightful scent of homemade cakes. As you settle in, your eyes are treated to a stunning panoramic view overlooking the tranquil lake, making it an ideal spot for relaxation or casual meetings.

The café prides itself on a diverse menu that caters to a variety of tastes. Sip on a delightful matcha that local customer Aung Phone Pyae raves about as "the most delicious matcha I have ever had in Thailand." Pair your drink with one of their irresistible homemade cakes, like the burnt cheese or passion fruit cheesecake, both of which chef chua couldn’t recommend more. The combination of flavors is designed to awaken your taste buds and provide a perfect blend of sweet and savory.

While you're here, don’t hesitate to try their bubble tea and other drinks, though it might require a bit of patience during peak hours, as highlighted by Bartosz Brozek. The café can get quite popular, especially with its added charm of being connected to the Boat Pier, making it a convenient spot for those looking to explore the lake further.

One of the delights of visiting Leewine Coffee is the double treat of incredible food and the striking scenery. The upstairs seating area offers impressive views that are simply stunning; there’s nothing quite like sipping on your favorite beverage while the sun sets behind the mountains. Guests like Torpong Muadchaiyaphum appreciate the atmosphere, stating it’s the perfect setting for both conversation and contemplation.

For the best experience, especially during the busy winter months from November to January, making an advance booking is highly recommended. Leewine Coffee also offers discounts on boat services for patrons—a wonderful incentive that chef chua has noted, ensuring your adventure on the lake is both enjoyable and economical.

Whether you're a local or a traveler, Leewine Coffee stands as a perfect blend of quality offerings and serene, picturesque charm. It promises not only a delightful meal but also lasting memories against the backdrop of Mae Hong Son's unparalleled beauty.

This coffee shop is a part of bigger establishment consisting of restaurant and souvenir store. Good choice of drinks and western style cake, there are some snacks from China / Taiwan as well. Coffee and bubble tea were decent enough. Bit long wait necessary since it’s a quite popular place. Upstairs seating area has very good view over the lake.

Access to the Boat Pier Entrance is from this Leewine Coffee cafe and down a steep staircase to the boats. Advance booking is highly recommended, especially during the peak winter season from November to January.

When they are one of the few cafe here, everything taste good. Ate the burnt cheese and passion fruit cheese cake, yummy! They also provide boat service with a slight discount. 3 pax 400 baht instead of 450 for boat ride. Cakes are 120 baht each. Tips: as always, come during June their off peak season, try to avoid rainy day.

The most delicious matcha I have ever had in Thailand. Staffs can speak English very well. Also, the shop is connected with pier so you can buy tickets at counter and just hop on to the boat. Prefer visiting at night but daytime also gives spectacular scenery with mountains background.

This is a traditional Ban Rak Thai cafe made of bamboo and leaves. Although the prices are high, you can enjoy a peaceful time while overlooking the lake. The recommended seats are on the second floor on the lake side, but the first-floor lake-side seats also offer a charming atmosphere.

The coffee was decent and nothing outstanding. But the view was stunning! We took the boat ride from this place and got 10% discount from the bill of Leewine Restaurant. You can rent a boat for 40 mins that takes you in the middle of the lake and enjoy the view of the town while sipping oolong tea. We paid 450 baht for a large boat that could easily fit 5-8 people. After our ride, we tipped the young boy who was our boatman 100 baht because he paused rowing when we asked, waited patiently while we took photos, and turned on the lanterns when we requested even though it was daytime. In the evening, the boats turn on the red lanterns and the entire area lights up in a beautiful red hue. Watching the boats go by evokes a sense of peace and relaxation.

The coffee tasted like any other coffee that one can have in common urban cafes. It was good. But the view from the cafe is spectacular, which makes going here a unique experience. I wish I can go back soon, not for some fast travel, but for travelling to relax.
